Cookies & storage

Some information is kept in your browser to make the features you choose work.

Authentication and security

When accounts are enabled, Supabase uses first-party session cookies to keep you signed in and refresh authentication. Cloudflare Turnstile processes verification signals for protected forms and may use security storage according to its configuration. These technologies support sign-in and abuse prevention.

Local storage and cache

Local storage holds saved countdown shortcuts, preferences, country choices, diary entries, notification choices, card drafts including selected photos, local votes, and flagged facts. The app uses names beginning with countdownworld_, cw_, and daysremain_card_draft_v1_. Session storage remembers dismissal of the install prompt. These records are not automatically synchronized between devices.

The installed web app caches static application files using a cache whose name begins with countdownworld-. Shared countdown pages and API responses are not cached by that service worker. Browser storage persists until removed or evicted; the install dismissal normally lasts for the tab’s session. Authentication expiration is controlled by the configured Supabase session settings.

Advertising and optional tracking

The current app has no advertising cookies or analytics SDK. Loading Google Fonts, verification, or externally hosted images still involves network requests as described in the privacy policy. Optional non-essential tracking must not be introduced before any consent required in the countries served has been obtained.

Manage your choices

You can clear DaysRemain’s local data using data controls, sign out to end this browser’s account session, or use your browser’s site-data settings to remove cookies and storage. Blocking storage can prevent sign-in and saving. Clearing local data does not delete an account, remove server countdowns, erase downloaded files, or withdraw device permissions. Revoke camera, microphone, and notification permissions in your browser or device settings.
